Global Product Compliance Manager

Are you an experienced compliance professional with a strong understanding of global product regulations across a broad range of consumer product categories?
We're partnering with a growing international consumer products business seeking a Global Product Compliance Manager to join their Product team. This is an exciting opportunity to own product compliance across a diverse portfolio sold in multiple international markets, ensuring products meet all regulatory, safety, and certification requirements from concept through launch.
The Role
Reporting into the Product Leadership team, you will act as the subject matter expert for product compliance, working closely with Product Development, Supply Chain, Quality, Manufacturing and external testing partners.
You will ensure products comply with relevant legislation and regulatory requirements across global markets, while supporting the business in bringing innovative products to market safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead global product compliance activities across multiple consumer product categories.
- Interpret and apply international product regulations and standards.
- Define compliance requirements for new product development projects.
- Manage product testing, certification and regulatory approvals.
- Maintain technical files, declarations, reports and compliance documentation.
- Work closely with manufacturing partners and suppliers to meet compliance requirements.
- Liaise with external test houses, laboratories and certification bodies.
- Monitor regulatory changes and advise the business on emerging requirements.
- Support product launches across UK, European and international markets.
About You
We're keen to hear from candidates with experience in consumer products, consumer electronics, household products, accessories, toys, DIY, or other physical product categories.
Essential Experience
- Proven experience within Product Compliance, Regulatory Affairs or Product Safety.
- Strong knowledge of global consumer product compliance requirements.
- Experience managing compliance across multiple international markets.
- Working knowledge of regulations such as CE, UKCA, REACH, RoHS, WEEE and other relevant product standards.
- Experience supporting products through development and launch.
- Supplier and manufacturing compliance experience.
- Ability to interpret technical regulations and communicate requirements to non-technical stakeholders.
Highly Desirable
- Experience with connected products, electronics or technology-based consumer products.
- Experience working with Global manufacturing partners.
- Exposure to third-party testing and certification organisations.
- Knowledge of emerging sustainability and environmental compliance requirements.
