Sales Support Administrator

Location: Near Harlow Salary: £30,000 per annum Requirements: Must drive • Office-based

Overview

We are looking for someone with a background in B2B sales administration, order processing, or customer operations who wants to move into a growing ecommerce and supply chain environment. If you are used to handling customer orders, checking stock, updating spreadsheets, and managing high volumes of detailed data, this role will build on the strengths you already have while giving you exposure to the fast‑moving world of online retail operations.  Experience with Amazon Seller Central or Vendor Central would be beneficial but not essential. The emphasis is on accuracy, consistency, and supporting the operational backbone of the ecommerce business.

About the Role

You’ll join a consumer goods distributor with a strong online presence across major retail platforms. As part of the Ecommerce team, you will support the operational tasks that keep products available, stock information accurate, and marketplace activity running smoothly.  This is a development role suited to someone 1–2 years into their career who enjoys structured processes, clear responsibilities, and cross‑team coordination. You don’t need previous fulfilment or marketplace experience — full training will be provided.  Your work ensures that the right stock is in the right place at the right time and that ecommerce systems have accurate information. It’s an ideal next step for someone who has been supporting B2B order flows and now wants a path into ecommerce operations, planning, or supply chain.

What You’ll Be Doing

You will take responsibility for organised, process‑driven tasks you may recognise from B2B order administration, including:

  • Maintaining and updating spreadsheets used to track stock availability, shipments, and replenishment
  • Supporting checks on inventory levels and helping identify risks such as low stock, aged stock, or overstocks
  • Coordinating with Operations and Supply Chain teams to ensure stock movements and deliveries are processed accurately
  • Updating shipment and tracking details to keep internal teams informed
  • Providing administrative support for new product launches and product information updates
  • Assisting with routine monthly and weekly reporting
  • Helping ensure smooth workflows across the ecommerce team through reliable data and task ownership

What You’ll Bring

This role suits someone who has built strong foundations in B2B administration and wants progression into ecommerce.

  • Experience in B2B sales administration, order processing, or customer operations
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle large volumes of data accurately
  • Confidence with Excel, especially working with structured data and simple formulas
  • Understanding of stock availability principles from working with orders, lead times, or stock checks
  • Ability to follow processes, meet deadlines, and keep information organised
  • Proactive mindset, comfortable flagging issues early
  • Enjoys working collaboratively with Operations, Supply Chain, IT, and Ecommerce teams

What This Role Offers

  • A clear and supported transition from B2B sales administration into ecommerce and supply chain
  • Hands‑on training in online retail operations, stock management, and marketplace processes
  • Exposure to international ecommerce platforms and operational workflows
  • A collaborative environment with development opportunities into ecommerce operations, planning, or fulfilment coordination
