Supply Chain Manager – Manufacturing (Consumer Products)

Cheshunt (100% on‑site) I £50k - £55k DOE I Full-time, permanent

Are you a hands-on Supply Chain professional with experience planning, buying, and stabilising supply across a large, complex SKU base with shared/inter-dependent components?  We are looking for a detail-driven planner/buyer who loves making complex supply chains run smoothly.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing international operation undergoing major transformation — with plenty of scope to shape processes, drive performance, and grow your career as the business scales. This is a “doing role”- sleeves rolled up, detail-driven, and central to keeping production running smoothly.

The Role

You’ll take ownership of short‑ to mid‑term supply planning, purchasing and expediting, ensuring materials, components and packaging are available to meet production and customer demand. Key responsibilities include:

  • Running MRP/MPS and converting demand into a clear 0–26 week supply plan
  • Buying and expediting components, raw materials and packaging (not just finished goods)
  • Managing BOM‑related planning where components are shared across multiple SKUs
  • Tracking POs, resolving shortages and maintaining a clean, accurate PO book
  • Co‑ordinating inbound freight, ETAs and documentation
  • Working closely with Production, Warehouse, NPD and Commercial teams
  • Supporting new product launches with accurate lead times, MOQs and supplier set‑up
  • Driving continuous improvement across planning, data accuracy and supply processes

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, problem‑solving and working cross‑functionally to keep a complex operation moving.

What We’re Looking For

  • Supply planning and buying within manufacturing or FMCG
  • Experience managing large SKU counts and component‑level planning
  • Strong understanding of BOMs, shared components and MRP
  • Confident using ERP systems (Business Central ideal, but not essential)
  • Proven track record of expediting, shortage recovery and supplier communication
  • Strong Excel skills and comfort working with data
  • Highly organised, accurate and calm under pressure
  • Experience with inbound freight, customs or Incoterms
  • Exposure to Amazon/D2C supply planning
  • Familiarity with kitting, engineering changes or consumer hardgoods

Why Apply?

  • Join a business in an exciting phase of international growth and operational transformation
  • Real opportunity to shape processes and progress as the supply chain function expands
  • Friendly, modern working environment with strong leadership support
  • Competitive salary, pension, on‑site parking and development opportunities

Location & eligibility

This is a 100% on‑site role based.  You must have the right to work in the UK and be able to commute reliably.

If you’re a detail-driven planner/buyer who loves making complex supply chains run smoothly — and you’re ready for a role with real impact and progression — we’d love to hear from you.
